The International Health Care Management Institute (IHCI) was founded on April, 1 2003. The IHCI belongs to the faculty of economics, social sciences, mathematics and information sciences of the University of Trier. The  IHCIfields are Healthcare Management, -Logistics, Medical Controlling,  and Business IT in Health Care. The key research areas are pattern recognition, simulation and optimization of processes and organizations.

Das Internationale Health Care Management Institut (IHCI) wurde am 01. April 2003 gegründet. Es gehört zum Fachbereich IV (Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften, Mathematik und Informatikwissenschaften) der Universität Trier. Zu den Forschungsschwerpunkten des IHCI gehören die Themenbereiche Gesundheitsmanagement und -logistik, Medizincontrolling sowie Wirtschaftsinformatik im Gesundheitswesen. Spezielle Forschungsbereiche sind Mustererkennung sowie Simulation und Optimierung von Prozessen und Organisationen.

• Koordination und Durchführung des weiterbildenden Studiengangs "Executive MBA Health Care Management" bis zur Organisation des letzten Moduls in Trier vom 28.11.2011 bis 09.12.2011 des abschließenden Studiengangs von 2010-2012 (wird seitdem von der SMBS der Universität Salzburg eigenständig weitergeführt)
